Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor products through the PDP.
• Coordinate production plans to ensure material availability.

• Resolve capacity and material constraints to avoid delays.
• Approve material lists and ensure timely procurement and receipt of production materials.
• Manage NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Coordinate with engineering to maintain BOMs in SAP.
• Release parts/modules to production and create work orders and purchase requests.

Compensation: Up to $115K/yr. Based on experience

About the Opportunity

• This is a new site for AE, driving cutting edge technology for the organization.
• In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting key New Product Introduction (NPI) processes in collaboration with the Engineering, Supply Chain and Program Management teams at AE.
• You will be responsible for aligning on material needs to meet key project deliverables and updating the Bill of Materials to help drive the R&D process quicker in collaboration with Engineering.
• The key candidate would have a background in the SAP ERP system, with a background in Supply Chain or Materials and BOM management.

What You'll Do

• Plans, schedules, coordinates or monitors final approval of products through the complete Product Development Process (PDP)
• Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring availability of material to meet project schedules
• Manages on-time-delivery goals of products by committed ship date
• Works to resolve capacity, material constraints and other potential schedule interruptions
• Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of production material requirements
• Manages and implements NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Coordinates with engineering to create and maintain Bill of Material (BOMs) in SAP
• Manages the release of parts, modules or units to appropriate department in production
• Creates and maintains work orders, purchase requests and internal transfer orders

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Management or Finance or Materials Management or Computer Information Sciences.
• 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Planning role within the manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years of experience in team and group setting, collaborating across all levels of an organization.

• Basic understanding of manufacturing planning/scheduling and the processes associated with MRP/ERP, SAP
• Ability to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing
• Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product design and program objectives
• Excellent judgment and initiative, including the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills must be superior.

• Must be able to navigate through the production and engineering environment, following the processes and procedures dictated in manufacturing and engineering
