Job summary

Gordon Food Service offers a 12-week paid internship at our Home Office with mentorship and meaningful projects across data management and business functions. Responsibilities

• Build Connections By: Work with the Material Master Data team serving North America and Canada, and collaborate with interns and employees across Communications, Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing & Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Sales.
• Build a Career: Improve data quality, standardize and audit material data across SAP MDG and S/4HANA, and ensure data integrity and governance.
• Build the Future: Participate in mentorship, networking, and shadowing opportunities, and gain hands-on experience with AI-enabled systems to deliver business impact.

Build Connections By:

• Working alongside our Material Master Data department team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada.
• Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas: Communications Finance Accounting Human Resources IT Marketing & Merchandising Supply Chain Sales.

Build a Career:

• Improve the overall quality, accuracy, and completeness of GFS’s material master data through detailed research, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with key team members.
• Standardize, audit, and validate GFS’s material data records across core enterprise systems such as SAP (MDG & S/4HANA) to maintain high data integrity.
• Classify, structure, and organize complex data elements in strict alignment with established corporate policies, data governance guidelines, and industry standards.
• Execute targeted project deliverables in direct support of data management initiatives, process improvements, routine master data administration tasks, and system cleanups.
