Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Material Lead in Houston, TX to coordinate material planning and logistics across construction teams. The role partners with procurement, expediting, and suppliers to ensure purchased materials and equipment meet project need-by dates and schedules.

You will monitor orders, report delays early, and drive mitigating actions, while actively expediting documents and aligning with project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in material planning, supply chain, procurement, expediting, construction operations.
• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop short- and long-range material plans aligned with construction sequencing and milestones.
• Collaborate with procurement and expediting teams to support timely material receiving.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries with onsite teams.
• Obtain accurate Bill of Materials from suppliers.
• Communicate delivery dates to suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate material deliveries to match jobsite readiness and storage locations.
• Monitor supplier progress to ensure timely delivery.
