Job summary

Fuse Integration Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Material Coordinator to support Materials, Production, Quality, and Program teams. You will track and maintain Government Property records and assist with day-to-day material handling, inventory, receiving, kitting, and production needs to meet delivery commitments for U.S.

defense programs. Ideal candidates are nimble, proactive, and capable of analyzing processes to suggest improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing administration and scheduling.
  • US Citizen (requirement).
  • Experience working in a production environment.
  • Experience utilizing computer-based manufacturing and planning tools.
  • Ability to present current and projected production plans, inventory levels, and potential shortfalls.
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in changing situations.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication across departments and with supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

Fuse is looking for a detail-oriented Material Coordinator to support the Materials, Production, Quality, and Program teams in driving excellence in material accountability and on-time, high-quality deliveries. This role will have primary responsibility for tracking, controlling, and maintaining accurate records for Government Property while also supporting day-to-day material handling, inventory, receiving, kitting, and production material needs. This role will be integral to Fuse’s ability to deliver products for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the day-to-day schedule for production starts and completions
  • Issue and track manufacturing orders for production
  • Validate in process work matches electronic records
  • Coordinate with Quality department on the collection and retention appropriate production records
  • Assisting in coordinating with purchasing and receiving to validate material is on hand for planned manufacturing operations and to align schedule to planned receipt of parts
  • Assist in the creation of purchase requisitions to cover projected material shortfalls
  • Develop production schedule based on arrival of parts, technician availability, and company priorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the implementation of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems for production, quality and purchasing
  • Assist in the inspection and correction of data in the inventory management system in support of ERP transition
  • Perform receiving and material movement function including:
    • Receives purchased and completed manufactured items, verify identification codes and quantities
    • Inspecting incoming goods for compliance with Purchase Orders
  • Make entries on inspection paperwork and in business system software
  • Communicate results of inspections and assist in facilitation of corrective actions
  • Prepares and attaches a variety of property identification markers
  • Records incoming and outgoing inventory and/or material in the appropriate computer system(s) or hard copy record(s)
  • Maintains control, accountability, and accurate inventory records of production components and Government Property, including identification, location, custody, status, and movement.
  • Serve as the primary Materials point of contact for day-to-day Government Property tracking and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate Government Property records in applicable business systems, property logs, spreadsheets, and/or customer-required systems.
  • Track Government Property from receipt through storage, issue, transfer, movement, return, and disposition, maintaining traceability and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure Government Property is properly identified, tagged, segregated, stored, and protected in accordance with company procedures and applicable contract requirements.
  • Perform and support periodic physical inventories and reconciliations of Government Property; research and resolve record-to-floor discrepancies.
  • Support internal, customer, DCMA, and other Government Property audits by providing records, reports, documentation, and physical inventory verification as requested.
  • Identify and promptly report lost, damaged, destroyed, or otherwise discrepant Government Property and assist with investigation and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Production, Programs, Purchasing, Receiving, Quality, and other departments to maintain accurate Government Property accountability throughout the material lifecycle.
  • Restocks inventory to assure it is at the appropriate level. Documents and restocks returned inventory. Identify, report, and investigate inventory shortages, overages, or discrepancies
  • Fulfills standard and immediate inventory requests and kits manufacturing requests
  • Packages, labels, and documents items for shippingInputs data to maintain configuration management compliance with various computer software systems
  • Assist in compliance with ISO 9001 and participate in continuous improvement activities
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing administration and scheduling
  • US Citizen (requirement)
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Solid judgment to proactively identify and solve complex problems
  • Experience utilizing computer-based manufacturing and planning tools
  • Ability to visually present current and projected production plans, inventory levels, and potential shortfalls
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in changing situations
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across departments and with supervisors and managers
Additional Experience / Education:
  • High school diploma and two or more years of experience in a shipping/receiving and inventory control environment. Additional education may be substituted in lieu of work experience
  • Familiar with using office and specialized inventory/stock control software to track and record inventory levels and prepare requested reports and information and must be able to work extended hours as required.
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Material Handling Equipment Certifications highly desired
  • Familiarity with DCMA contract property administration requirements and Government Property accountability requirements desired
  • Experience tracking Government-furnished property (GFP), Government-owned property, customer-owned property, or other controlled assets is highly desired.
  • Ability to maintain detailed property records and support physical inventories, reconciliations, audits, and reporting requirements.

  • Participated in or supported IS9001 and AS9100 quality management systems and/or audits
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Fishbowl Inventory Management System, and/or Jira
  • Planned first article builds and low-rate initial production runs
  • Assisted in establishing production processes
