Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Material Inspector in Saginaw, MI to inspect and grade materials delivered to the yard. The role may operate small equipment to process and prepare materials for shipment.

This outdoor position emphasizes face-to-face customer service with drivers and will include training on equipment and recycling processes. Ideal candidates enjoy working with people, have basic computer skills, and can perform duties with accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Six months’ small equipment experience preferred.
• Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge.
• Basic computer skills and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort, process and inventory material (Non-Ferrous Metals) by operating shears, balers, loaders and forklifts.
• Assist with purchasing various grades of recyclable materials from customers.
• Support customers with unloading of materials and assist with packing and loading for shipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with material tracking.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
