Job description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to Pontiac on a full-time basis.

The Role

In this exciting new role, you will be part of a highly motivated team that specializes in the safe and orderly shipping, receiving, crating, uncrating, and preliminary testing of Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (RESS), also known as EV battery packs, in support of our RESS root cause team.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the safe and efficient handling of high-voltage EV battery assemblies and related components, including shipping, receiving, storage, crating/uncrating, scheduling, and initial pre-checks for the high-voltage battery packs.
• Perform physical duties involving moving large HV EV batteries within the facility, including shipping and disposal.
• Operate and use forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and manage stock movements.
• Coordinate packaging, tracking, and shipment of root cause components to suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures to improve safety and efficiency.
• Participate in and sustain workplace organization practices.
• Provide logistical support to the Field Response Deployment Team.
• Collaborate closely with dock and RESS/module root cause teams.
