Job summary

Roche in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Material Handling Technician for 1st shift (6 am–2:30 pm, Mon–Fri). The role focuses on inbound receiving, unloading/staging with a Pallet Rider, and labeling materials in a fast-paced warehouse. HS Diploma or GED required; English reading/writing; ability to lift up to 50 lb. Pay $13.00/hour, onsite at 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis. 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support inbound receiving and pick-pack operations.
• Unload and stage products using a Pallet Rider (approx. 75% of time).
• Label and tag materials (approx. 25% of time).
• Cross-train across Roche warehouses and assist with other tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety standards.

Material Handling Technician-1st Shift

Pay rate for these positions are (USD)13.00 an hour.

Hours are 6 am to 2:30 pm M-F.

Duties:

• Candidate must pass 7 year Felony pre-employment screening, education verification, and drug screen.
• Support inbound receiving and pick pack operations
• 75% of time spent unloading and staging product in inbound recieving area usting a Pallet Rider (shipments are recieved every two hours)
• 25% of time spent labeling and tagging material
• Resources will be trained on unloading trucks, box making, picking, and packing-cross training is essential as resources assist other Roche warehouses
• Possible assistance in other warehouses on the Roche campus transporting packaged hazardous materials (rare, but possible)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Will pick orders out of walk in cooler (there is a rotation may not pick out of cooler daily)

The products that are picked are reagents used in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of diseases. Reagents are a substance or compound that is added to a system in order to bring about a chemical reaction. Roche manufacutures diagnostic systems and the reagents that are used in them.

• Steady work history, HM does not consider candidates with a lot of job hopping
