Benchmade Knife Company seeks a Material Handling Technician to pull, pack and prepare finished goods for shipping, refill bins, and receive inventory in the warehouse. You will operate on the production floor with PPE and uphold safety standards.

Using Syspro MRP, you will manage inventory, perform cycle counts, maintain equipment, and support KPI reporting in a fast-paced environment. Reliability, accuracy, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience accepted.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with PPE, and maintain safety compliance.

Responsabilités

• Manage inventory electronically using Syspro MRP system and other computer applications.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock; records location of inventory.
• Perform cycle counts of inventory.
• Provides excellent service to customers (internal stakeholders) and vendors.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; identify when lock out, tag out is appropriate.
• Display awareness to safety guidelines, procedures, and policies; report safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support on-going reporting of key performance metrics.
• Contributes ideas to improve warehousing procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent education, training, or experience will be considered.Able to work in a manufacturing environment (exposure to noise, coolants, abrasives, heat, cold, adhesives, automated and manual machinery) wearing PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, and Kevlar gloves).Familiarity with MRP systems and performing inventory transactions.Basic understanding of inventory controls and cycle counting.Strong computer and data entry skills required (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).Good verbal and written communication skills, with co-workers, internal customers and vendors.Demonstrate great attendance, punctuality, and time sensitivity.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multi-task accurately.Quality-conscious individual with excellent attention to detail.Must be able to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.Works well in a collaborative and positive team environment.Working Conditions:Working Environment: Production floor.Physical Demands: Repetitively lifting up to 50 lbs; and standing, bending, and walking for long periods of time.Travel Requirements: As needed, less than 5% of the time.Overtime and/or shift change may be required).
