Job summary

Benchmade in Oregon City is seeking a Material Handling Technician for a seasonal, part-time role at our Oregon City HQ. You will pull, pack and prepare finished goods for shipping, while maintaining accurate inventory using Syspro MRP and other tools.

You will refill product bins, perform cycle counts, and support safety and housekeeping on the production floor. Strong reliability, communication, and attention to detail are essential in this hands-on warehouse position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or current enrollment in high school.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and inventory transactions.
• Strong computer and data entry skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Good verbal and written communication with co-workers and vendors.
• Demonstrate great attendance, punctuality, and time sensitivity.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multi-task accurately.
• Quality-conscious with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory electronically using Syspro MRP system (and other computer applications).
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock; records location of inventory.
• Perform cycle counts of inventory.
• Provides excellent service to customers (internal stakeholders) and vendors.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; and identify when lock out, tag out is appropriate.
• Display awareness to safety guidelines and report safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support on-going reporting of key performance metrics.
• Contribute ideas to improve warehousing procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
