Job summary

Sms Infocomm Corporation in Grapevine, TX is seeking a Material Handler II to maintain inventory, pull and verify materials, prepare shipments, and support production.

You will operate pallet jacks and ladders, handle shipments, document processes, and help keep the warehouse safe and efficient. The role requires basic RF equipment knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work long hours on your feet.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions.
• Requires basic computer skills; may access outside carrier software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, receive, sort, and ship component parts and equipment.
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Assist in unloading palletized goods and single carton deliveries.
• Ensure freight has accompanying documentation and is complete before inspection.
• Record and report damages immediately.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Examine outgoing shipments for specifications and accuracy.
• Pull orders and verify types and quantities; issue and deliver items.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control; perform housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Capability to operate pallet jacks and ladders; flexibility for overtime.

SummaryThe position of Material Handler II maintains inventory by identifying labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on pick lists; maintains in-process inventory in production areas by delivering and opening materials and supplies. Responsible for shipping pallets/cartons and documentation for processes. Position requires basic RF equipment knowledge and usage.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.Daily Responsibilities % of Job 90%Inspect, receive, sort, and ship component parts and equipment.Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.Assist in unloading process for palletized goods and single carton deliveries.Ensure freight has been correctly shipped with all required accompanying documentation.Ensure shipment is complete prior to inspection by counting pallets/cartons and verifying against receiving documents.Report any damages immediately.Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipment meets specifications.Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments.Pulls orders and verifies type and quantity of ordered items.Issues and delivers items, and performs housekeeping activities in the warehouse.Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.Has knowledge and can execute all associated tasks designated to Material Handlers I.Requires the use of pallet jacks and ladders.Is capable of maintaining the stamina needed for long hours of standing, stooping, bending, in warehouse environment.Must be flexible in scheduling.
