Job summary

JTEKT NA is seeking a Material Handling (Production Control) associate for the 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm) in Piedmont, SC. You will verify labels, support production lines, and help manage shipping/receiving processes to ensure smooth manufacturing flow.

Ideal candidates will have forklift/walkie stacker/tugger experience, be able to lift up to 40 lbs, and communicate in English. This role requires teamwork and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift, walkie stacker and tugger experience preferred.
• Able to frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving system.
• Material handling experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Verify labels on containers and match descriptions on packing slips.

Will support production control activities that follow policies and procedures related to successful manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

• Responsible for verifying labels on containers and matching the description on packing slip.
• This position will support the manufacturing lines, possibly as a water spider.
• Support JASC shipping and receiving systems
• Inspect shipments
• Ability to load and unload trucks
• Maintain the flow of materials to all areas of manufacturing efficiently
• Able to work in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Forklift, walkie stacker, and tugger experience is preferred

• Able to learn and operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, ISO 14001 standard, safety/environmental, 5S (housekeeping) and productivity.

• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and ergonomics' oriented
• Ability to understand and demonstrate standard work.
