Job summary

Aleron is hiring a Material Handling Operator in New Castle, DE. This temp-to-perm role supports receiving, inventory, storage, shipping, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will operate forklifts, manage inventory data, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining efficient material flows. A successful candidate will thrive in hands-on work and a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

  • One year of warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling experience.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments and verify materials against packing slips.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and similar equipment.
  • Enter and maintain inventory data in the WMS.
  • Store, organize and retrieve materials in the warehouse.
  • Perform inventory counts and support stock accuracy.
  • Pick, stage and verify orders for accuracy.

Material Handling Operator

Location: New Castle, DE

Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Compensation: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST

We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handling Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. In this role, you'll play a critical part in keeping materials moving efficiently throughout the facility by supporting receiving, inventory, storage, shipping, and warehouse operations.

What You'll Do
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips and shipping documents.
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage and report discrepancies.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Enter and maintain inventory information using warehouse management systems.
  • Store, organize, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
  • Perform inventory counts and support ongoing stock accuracy.
  • Pick, stage, and verify customer or production orders for accuracy.
  • Package outbound shipments according to shipping requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare and attach shipping documentation for outgoing deliveries.
  • Transport materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards.
  • Work independently while knowing when to elevate unexpected issues for support.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling, or equivalent vocational training.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other industrial material handling equipment is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to work within inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
