Job summary

The Shaw Group, Llc in Walker, LA is seeking a Full Time Project role. You will loads, unloads, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site, using a forklift, dolly, wheelbarrow, or crane/hoist as required.

Responsibilities include reading instructions, arranging on-site transfers to meet schedules, inspecting materials in all weather, maintaining records, and ensuring safety rules are followed. Equal opportunity employer, with relevant forklift/receiving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and related experience.
• Experience with pipe commodity and identifying fittings, flanges, valves.
• Receiving and/or forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets instructions and plans work activities.
• Arranges on-site transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
• Visually inspect and receive material in all-weather condition.
• Coordinates and expedites flow of materials between departments.
• Reviews production schedules and determines material requirements.
• Compiles and maintains material inventory and status records.
