Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. is seeking Hydro Test Technicians for multiple openings on a 3‑month contract. 1st shift 6:00 am–3:30 pm and 2nd shift 2:00 pm–11:30 pm are available, hourly pay $20. This role performs hydrostatic pressure testing on valve components to ensure compliance with engineering, quality and safety specs.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years in related manufacturing or hydrostatic testing. Experience reading drawings and using SAP/ERP systems is valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pressure testing: set up, calibrate, and operate hydrostatic testing equipment.
• Inspection & quality control: monitor hold times, calculate test pressures, inspect for leaks/defects.
• Post-test handling: dry, preserve, and store tested components.
• Documentation & reporting: maintain quality records in SAP and communicate discrepancies.
• Safety & compliance: follow PPE and safety protocols; keep work area clean.

Position Summary

The Hydro Test Technician performs hydrostatic pressure testing on pressure relief valve components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Pressure Testing: Set up, calibrate, and operate hydrostatic testing equipment to test parts according to engineering specs and SAP data.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Monitor hold times, calculate test pressures, inspect for leaks/defects, reject nonconforming parts, and mark accepted components.
• Post-Test Handling: Dry, preserve, and store tested components to prevent corrosion.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate quality records in SAP and communicate discrepancies or equipment issues to the Hydro Lead.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all PPE, safety, environmental, and continuous improvement protocols; keep a clean work area.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical/manufacturing training preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in manufacturing, quality inspection, valve assembly, or hydrostatic pressure testing preferred.
• Skills: Ability to read technical drawings, perform basic pressure calculations, use precision measuring tools, and input data into ERP/SAP systems.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

Physical: Frequent standing, bending, and reaching; lift up to 25 lbs.

Environment: Industrial manufacturing setting around pressurized water systems, machinery, and moderate noise levels. PPE required.
