Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Material Handler for our Janesville, WI Distribution Center. The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials, maintains inventory accuracy, supports production schedules, and contributes to safety and quality goals in a fast-paced warehouse.

The successful candidate will have forklift operation experience, comfort with inventory systems, and a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts or powered industrial vehicles.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions, schedules, and work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Complete required equipment inspections and maintain forklift certification.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers following safety and quality standards.
• Inspect incoming materials and outbound shipments to ensure quality requirements.
• Stage, deliver, and return raw materials to support production schedules.
• Utilize inventory management systems to track material movements and storage locations.
• Store and organize materials to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Verify pallet configurations, labels, barcodes, and packaging requirements prior to shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory verification to support accuracy.
• Maintain housekeeping and contribute to a safe work environment.
