Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Material Handler for our Janesville, WI manufacturing facility. The Material Handler moves raw materials and finished goods, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: 2nd 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, with a $2 hourly shift differential for 2nd shift. Emphasis on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.
• Experience operating forklifts.
• Experience using computers for inventory transactions.
• Ability to read instructions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Complete equipment inspections and maintain forklift certification.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers per safety standards.
• Inspect incoming materials and shipments for quality requirements.
• Stage, deliver, and return raw materials to production schedules.
• Use inventory management systems to track movements and locations.
• Store raw materials and finished goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Verify pallet configurations, labels, barcodes, and packaging requirements.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory verification to support accuracy.
• Maintain housekeeping and support continuous improvement initiatives.
