Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Material Handler at our Janesville, WI Distribution Center. The role focuses on safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials to support production schedules and inventory accuracy.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience operating forklifts.
• Experience using inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and follow schedules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Complete required equipment inspections and maintain forklift certification.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers while following safety and quality standards.
• Inspect incoming materials and outbound shipments to ensure quality requirements.
• Stage, deliver, and return raw materials to support production schedules.
• Utilize inventory management systems to track material movements and storage locations.
• Store materials in designated locations and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Verify pallet configurations, labels, and packaging before shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory verification to support accuracy.
• Maintain housekeeping and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
