Xcel Energy seeks a Material Handler at the Western Service Center in Eau Claire, WI. You will lead daily material operations, safely operate forklifts, and ensure timely receiving, put-away, and staging of materials for field crews. The role requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and ability to lift up to 70 pounds. CDL may be required; DOT tests apply.

The starting rate of pay for the first step in the graduate wage scale (1st Six Months) for this position is $28.91 per hour. The Company may hire at a higher step depending on qualifications.This position will be posted for 15 business days from October 26, 2026, to November 13, 2026.SummaryThis position is responsible for leading and performing all duties and the daily operational activities of the Material Operations & Planning. This position requires the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. A high awareness of safety and compliance with company safety rules is required at all times. Serve as the day-to-day interface with local operational customers. Duties include material ordering from Alliance suppliers and from other internal storerooms as necessary. Receiving activities which include unload and loading of trucks and receipt of materials both stock and non-stock. Put away activities, order filling, physically fill and stage orders for field construction crews. Process material returns/credits from the field. Keep work area cleaned up as necessary. Provide excellent customer service for local management and field employees.
