Job summary

JOST International is hiring a Material Handler - Welding to support the welding department by locating, transporting, and organizing parts within welding stores and related areas.

The role requires operating a scanner to locate materials, obtaining forklift certification, and adhering to quality, environmental, and safety policies. Prior experience is preferred but not required, with on‑the‑job training provided to learn company products and procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Welding Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

MATERIAL HANDLER WELDING – Performs duties associated with storage and transporting of parts and organization of parts in welding and welding stores areas.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• a) Locate and transport appropriate parts to specified areas
• b) Make sure all labels are visible and in legible condition.
• c) Performing daily checks on fork truck and paperwork pertaining to checks.
• d) House keeping in weld stores area and removal of debris from these areas.
• e) Manufacturing waste/excess needs to be placed in appropriate containers.
• f) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• a) Ability to operate scanner to locate and transport appropriate materials to specified welding areas.
• b) Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Truck Certification.
• c) Prior experience preferred but not required.
• d) Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time
• b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
