Job summary

The Material Handler coordinates the movement and control of materials in the warehouse and shipping department, including weighing, crating, boxing, and packing for domestic or export shipments.

Typical duties involve receiving, parts pulling, warehouse tasks, and collaboration with Quality and Planning to resolve material issues, with reporting to the Material Handler Team Lead.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years shipping experience including weighing, crating, boxing, skidding, strapping, marking and documentation.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify, count, and locate incoming materials into the stock room.
• Issue materials to Production work orders.
• Coordinate the disposition of defective materials with Quality and Planning.
• Verify inventory counts in Cycle Count Process and fill shop orders accurately.
