Job summary

GNC is seeking a Material Handler for our Distribution Center in Whitestown, IN. You will move product, load/unload trailers, and use the WMS and RF scanners to record movements. You must maintain PIT certification and operate forklifts safely to support manufacturing and shipping. Attention to safety and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ months experience in material handling or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools and forklifts; PIT certification preferred or achievable in-house.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in using Red Prairie WMS and RF Scanners to track inventory and materials.
• Maintain forklift certification and safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
• Load and unload trailers using PITs and manual methods.
• Pull, deliver, and stage materials for manufacturing; ensure correct delivery to the appropriate area.
• Post weights and shipping charges; prepare goods for shipment; ensure proper documentation (POs, BOLs, receipts).
• Re-verify material weights and quantities for shipment.
• Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory to keep lines stocked.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Use ERP system to perform inventory transactions and maintain records.
• Complete paperwork and keep a clean, organized work area; follow SOPs/cGMPs.
• Rotate through Material Handler functions as needed; operate power equipment safely.
