Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations. Under supervision, you will receive, store, move, and prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and safety.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to multitask, and daily work Monday through Friday. Forklift experience is a plus. A High School diploma is required, and you will help maintain accurate material movement records and participate in safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Able to work Monday–Friday.
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from receiving or storage to shipping or production.
• Sort and place materials on racks by size, type, or product code.
• Restock materials and fill requisitions.
• Pack and prepare materials for shipping or delivery.
• Measure, cut, and package materials per order specs.
• Maintain accurate material movement records.
• Open boxes, crates, and containers as needed.
• Operate Raymond forklift inspections and report issues.
• Load delivery trucks for next-day deliveries.
• Inspect inventory for damage and report findings.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
• Keep warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and wear PPE.
• Participate in safety meetings and accident-prevention.
• Perform facilities maintenance as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
