Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store, move, and pre­pare materials for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse in Indiana. The role emphasizes accurate material handling, safe operations, and maintaining organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping, production, or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, style, or product code.
• Restock materials in assigned bin locations and fill requisitions for warehouse or delivery needs.
• Stack, assemble, band, and package materials for shipping, pickup or truck delivery.
• Measure, cut and package materials according to order specifications.
• Complete and maintain accurate Material Movement paperwork.
• Open boxes, crates, and containers as required.
• Load delivery trucks for scheduled next-day deliveries.
• Examine inventory for damage, defects, or deterioration and report findings.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory count.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area at all times.
• Comply with company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
