Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Kent, WA, is seeking Warehouse Material Handlers for a temporary-to-permanent role in a fast-paced distribution setting.

You will operate pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order-picking equipment, with weekly pay and safety gear provided. The position requires reliable attendance, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and teamwork in a diverse environment.

Shifts run Monday to Saturday with overtime as needed; on-the-job training provided and opportunities for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid forklift license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Flexible schedule availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance guidelines of the contract.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Ryder is hiring Temporary to Permanent Warehouse Material Handlers in Kent, Washington — offering weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $20.50 per hour

• Overtime Pay: $30.75 per hour when working overtime

• Schedule: Monday - Saturday 7:30 am - 4:30pm or until work is finished

• 5 day work week; off on Sundays and 1 other day M-F TBD

• OT as business needs require

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks

• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
