Job summary

HireLevel, Inc. in Sparta, IL is seeking a Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to support daily operations. You will receive, move, store, and ship materials while maintaining inventory accuracy; forklift usage will be required. The position is full-time with overtime as needed, paying $18 per hour.

• Maintain organized storage locations and rotate stock.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.

The Material Handler / Warehouse Associate supports daily warehouse operations by safely receiving, organizing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Job Category: Temp to hireLocation: Sparta, ILHours: Mon-Thurs | 6am-4:30pm and Friday (* Full-time position. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs)Compensation: $18/hr.

Key Responsibilities for the Material Handler/Warehouse Associate:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Load outbound shipments and ensure proper documentation is completed.
• Conduct inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Maintain organized storage locations and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Inspect materials and products for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow all company safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist with warehouse projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills for the Material Handler/Warehouse Associate

• Previous warehouse, material handling, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
