Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world. We are seeking a full-time Material Handler.

The Material Handler is responsible for assisting with transportation, loading and unloading donations from trucks and contractors into the warehouse for processing. Ideal candidates are team players with high personal accountability. The position involves processing unloaded materials, recycling, and general cleaning.

Shift: 1st shift, 6AM start, Saturdays mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, bins, or trucks
• Assist in scanning cart information into the computer system
• Properly bale materials and donated goods
• Operate warehouse machinery safely, including forklifts
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
• Sort materials into categories and empty carts
• Skilled and senior handlers may operate bailing machines and forklifts

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent (experience may substitute)
• 1 year of warehouse experience as a material handler
• Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and safety policies
• Ability to multitask and support production as needed
