Job summary

Leviton is seeking a Manufacturing/Material Handler to support production by receiving, stocking, issuing materials, and transporting finished goods. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include weighing scrap materials, operating material movement equipment, maintaining order, and ensuring correct product identification while supporting overall safety and quality objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of motorized material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs weigh counts for scrap materials and communicates issues to Production Lead.
• Loads, stocks, issues materials, and moves finished goods.
• Operates material movement equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintains a clean work area and organizes containers.
• Verifies product identification and counts.
• Supports safety, quality, production, and equipment maintenance goals.

About the role

Responsible for supporting production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing materials and supplies, ticketing and transporting finished goods. Perform all functions in a safe manner and within quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents weigh counts for scrap materials, communicates issues or concerns with Production Lead
• Removes trash from manufacturing areas
• Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested
• Operates material movement equipment as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others, and other equipment
• Maintains a clean work area, consolidates containers of like parts, and moves empty containers to designated storage areas
• Enters production on finished goods items
• Verifies and maintains product identification and count
• Moves properly marked material to non-conforming hold area as instructed by supervision and performs necessary transactions
• Supports departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production, and equipment maintenance

• Ability to move your hand(s), your hand(s) together with your arm(s), or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
• Ability to complete a Powered Industrial Truck training offered by the organization
• Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office at a basic level
• Ability to communicate in verbal and written English

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling
• Requires eye/hand/foot coordination

Education & Experience

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required, significant experience and skills in the field may be considered in lieu of diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 1-year operating motorized material handling equipment experience preferred
• Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred
