Leviton is hiring for a production support role in Kentucky. You will receive, stock, and issue materials, transport finished goods, and document counts.

This position emphasizes safe handling, accurate inventory, and contributing to quality and efficiency goals on the manufacturing floor. Typical duties include operating forklifts or other material handling equipment, maintaining a clean work area, and following written and verbal instructions.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required; significant experience may substitute.
• Minimum 1 year operating motorized material handling equipment preferred.
• Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards.

About the role

Responsible for supporting production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing materials and supplies, ticketing and transporting finished goods. Perform all functions in a safe manner and within quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents weigh counts for scrap materials, communicates issues or concerns with Production Lead
• Removes trash from manufacturing areas
• Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested
• Operates material movement equipment as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others, and other equipment
• Maintains a clean work area, consolidates containers of like parts, and moves empty containers to designated storage areas
• Enters production on finished goods items
• Verifies and maintains product identification and count
• Moves properly marked material to non-conforming hold area as instructed by supervision and performs necessary transactions
• Supports departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production, and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

Skills

• Ability to move your hand(s), your hand(s) together with your arm(s), or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
• Ability to complete a Powered Industrial Truck training offered by the organization
• Ability to use judgment related to identifying potential safety hazards
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and apply to work standards
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office at a basic level
• Ability to communicate in verbal and written English

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and feeling
• Requires eye/hand/foot coordination

Education & Experience

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required, significant experience and skills in the field may be considered in lieu of diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 1-year operating motorized material handling equipment experience preferred
• Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred
