Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Greenwood, SC is seeking a Backroom Material Handler Technician I for the 2nd shift. The role pays $18.11/hour + a $1.00 shift differential, with core hours Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am. Eligible for a variable incentive program.

The salary is based on skills, experience, and market conditions. Responsibilities include receiving/issuing materials, data entry support, and assisting with material availability processes.

Qualifications

• 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience.
• 3 months of experience operating a powered industrial truck (forklift).
• 3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools.
• SC Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive and issue raw materials, assemblies, sub-assemblies, tools, and supplies, and forward documentation for data entry.
• Use material handling equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes to unload, move, and store materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and material movement records.
• Identify nonconforming materials and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
