Description

Position Summary: Under the general direction of Floor Leader(s), the Material Handler (Summer Help) is responsible for daily activities including, but not limited to: maintaining inventory accuracy, pulling pick lists, receiving materials, storing parts, packaging, forming parts for production, and completing orders for manufacturing needs.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (A - Shift)

Duration: June 2nd, 2025 to August 7th, 2025

What You'll Do:

• Move materials and distribute products within the manufacturing facility.
• Receive and store parts, packaging, and forming materials for production.
• Collaborate with department team members to ensure accurate FIFO (First-in, First-out), shelf-life compliance, cycle counts, and inventory investigations. Maintain effective communication with all team leaders and members.
• Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by Team Leader(s).

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

• Knowledge of production and quality standards, as well as assembly procedures/processes.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to understand and read blueprints (preferred).
• Ability to differentiate colors, make decisions, work independently, and use basic hand tools.
• Certification to operate forklift, stand-up, order picker, and scanner gun.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MRP Systems, and QAD (preferred).

Considerations:

• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required); additional education preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
• Forklift certification (required).
• Basic knowledge of the manufacturing food service industry (preferred).
