Liberty Hardware is seeking a Material Handler for the weekend shift (Fri-Sun, 6:00am-6:30pm) in North Carolina. Starting pay is $16.50/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential, totaling $17.50/hour.

Duties include picking, labeling, palletizing, and operating a conveyor system, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role may involve training teammates and participating in continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and increase productivity.

Responsabilidades

• Picks product from assigned locations based on information provided in WMS or pick ticket.
• Attaches labels to cartons.
• Places conveyable cartons on conveyor belt.
• Picks non-conveyable cartons offline via pick ticket.
• Stacks cartons on pallet and prepares for next wave.
• Cleans pick module/work areas daily; keeps locations neat and safe.
• Unloads cartons using powered conveyor and stacks on pallets.
• Demonstrates safe working practices in all tasks.
• May train new or less experienced staff.
• Supports continuous improvement events to drive cost savings and waste reduction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Picks product from assigned locations based on information provided in WMS or pick ticket
• Appropriately attaches labels to cartons
• Places conveyable cartons on conveyor belt
• Pulls non-conveyable cartons offline via pick ticket
• Stacks cartons on appropriate pallet and places pallet out for next wave
• Cleans pick module/work areas on daily basis; keeps picking locations neat, orderly and safe
• Unloads cartons from containers using powered conveyor and stacks cartons on appropriate pallet
• Demonstrates safe working practices in all facets of work
• May train new or less experienced staff members
• Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the company
• And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, bend, stand, and rotational standing and bending; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently grab, lift, carry, stack, and/or move materials and product weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally is required to climb up to 2 flights of 10-inch stairs. Employee may operate wrapping machine, powered industrial equipment, and RF scanner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
