Job summary

Hartzell Engine Technologies (HET) is seeking a warehouse/logistics professional to support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes at our Alabama facility. You will organize inventory, prepare overhaul kit components, and manage shipment packaging to maintain production flow.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, ability to operate forklift, and proficiency with ERP systems. Strong communication and safety focus are essential for success in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • Forklift certification required.
  • Strong computer skills and ERP experience beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Organize inventory, review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations. Pull and organize inventory for overhaul kits and package for shipment.

Key Deliverables of the Position
  • Stock components and manage default locations
  • Perform daily cycle counts and make system transactions
  • Conduct root cause investigations when cycle counting variances are found
  • Accurately pull components for overhaul kits and package for shipment
  • Organize and stage kits awaiting material to complete
  • Determine shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
  • Accurately pull, pack and stage orders for shipment
  • Use ERP system to pull and ship orders
Requirements
Education and Experience

High school diploma of general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Competencies
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to receive and maintain Forklift certification
  • Requires strong computer competency
  • Excellent Communication Skills - both verbal and written
Physical Demands

Frequent walking and standing, occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
