Job summary

Hartzell Engine Technologies LLC in Montgomery, AL is seeking a warehouse associate to manage material and parts inventory and support turbocharger assembly operations. You will receive components, stock them, and perform audits to ensure correct storage and traceability.

Role requires basic GED/high school diploma and a minimum six months of related experience; forklift certification is preferred. This position is on-site with standard warehouse duties and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive manufactured and purchased components into stockroom inventory.

• Pull components for manufacturing orders for turbocharger product line to support assembly operation.
• Fill in for piece part packaging when necessary.
• Monthly audits for proper storage of elastomer products and preservation of parts to prevent corrosion.

Key Responsibilities of the Position

Compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas.

Key Deliverables of the Position

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma of general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Technical Competencies

• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Ability to receive and maintain Forklift certification

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Physical Demands

Frequent walking and standing, occasionally sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
