UNDERSTANDING

The Material Handler position is essential to the warehouse and production operations. Material Handlers verify, stage and put away raw material and finished goods. SCOPE

This position reports to the Primary Warehouse. They support work activities in the Primary Warehouse area as needed. They also support other operational activities in other departments as directed by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to Warehouse and Production in the handling and systematic transfer of received and finished goods.
• Supports the receiving team to assist in accurate storage of Raw Materials in the warehouse.
• Works under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure accurate storage of finished goods in the warehouse.
• Verifies finished good items and ensures they are stored in the correct locations throughout the warehouse in accordance with the warehouse process.
• Returns raw material to proper locations upon completion of use by production.
• Performs physical Inventory of assigned areas when directed.
• Meets daily/weekly/monthly production KPI’s and warehouse objectives.
• Comply with all Quality, HAACP, GMP and Food Safety Standards
• Escalate Safety, Quality, and Productivity issues immediately to supervisors.
• Maintains and is responsible for the maintenance and safe return of all equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Basic computer skills to operate computer automated equipment.
• Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator)
• Must be able to read and interpret weight scales and tape measures.
• Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.
• RF Scanner and/or previous ERP system experience is a plus.

EDUCATION

• Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
