Job Purpose

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, handle freight properly, maintain warehouse order, load/unload trucks, ensure accurate shipment staging, and perform warehouse duties including stock storage and material handling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operations.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and/or EPJs.
• Use computers and RF equipment.
• Load/unload trucks safely, including outside carriers.
• Work 10-12 hour shifts when necessary, including heights.
• Pick and move stock from 1 to 50 lbs.
• Ensure proper shipment staging and loading.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and order.
• Process outbound freight and store stock properly.
• Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork.
• Operate forklifts following OSHA and safety policies, including seatbelt use.
• Perform daily forklift inspections.
• Handle products properly, check for damages, and report issues.
• Report accidents or damages immediately.
• Spot trailers to maintain yard organization.
• Keep dock doors clear of debris or snow.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with urgency, accountability, and minimal supervision.
• Read, write, and understand English.
• Pay attention to detail and quality.
• Communicate effectively and resolve problems.
• Be flexible with overtime and shift coverage.
• Possess forklift and pallet building experience.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months forklift experience with sit-down forklifts and EPJs.
• Good work history.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Warehousing certifications are a plus.
