Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Handle, store, and count materials properly under supervision.
2. Unload and load materials, ensuring accuracy in inventory control system transactions.
3. Organize stock according to location procedures and use inventory queries to locate materials.
4. Pull stock and sample kits, and assemble materials on pallets for shipment.
5. Perform cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
6. Create labels and documentation for material tracking.
7. Train less experienced personnel and new hires.
8. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and company trucks.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
10. Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives for continuous improvement.

Planning and Decision Making:

Manage daily workload independently with guidance from the manager.

Impact and Scope:

Work safely around forklifts, chemicals, and loading/unloading processes, affecting raw and finished goods inventory. Errors may lead to injuries, delays, or financial loss.

Key Relationships:

Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Familiarity with PC applications like Microsoft Office; knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle is preferred.
• Attention to detail and a valid driver’s license.
