Position: Material Handler at Main Campus

Responsibilities include replenishing supplies, linens, and other medical necessities to ensure caregivers provide timely, efficient patient care. Your work is vital to the overall organization and functioning of the hospital system, indirectly improving the lives of patients, caregivers, and the community daily.

Work Schedule

This position works days from 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the hospital supervisor with project work.
2. Collaborate with management to improve daily activities.
3. Support areas caring for patients with higher acuity and volume.
4. Receive, unpack, inspect, and verify shipments; input information into the warehouse management system.
5. Receive, sort, put away, pick, and deliver supplies, mail, and patient records.
6. Rotate stock and check for outdates.
7. Handle returns, complete technical documentation, and communicate as required.
8. Assist Site Managers with communication to fulfill stocking needs and anticipate future requirements.
9. Deliver supplies to hospital floors and facilities.
10. Monitor dock traffic, prioritize deliveries, and ensure safe receipt of goods.
11. Use materials handling equipment to unload, store, and move freight and supplies.
12. Stock locations using the warehouse management system, ensuring safe movement of materials.
13. Perform physical stock counts and cycle counting for inventory control.
14. Stock nursing floors and clinical areas to maintain inventory levels.
15. Respond to inquiries regarding stock and ordering procedures.
16. Perform expiry management duties to meet KPIs and ensure product quality.

Minimum Qualifications

• Meet all Cleveland Clinic insurance requirements.
• Valid Driver's License (VDL) to operate box trucks.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of Materials Management or related experience.
• Knowledge of inventory management.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle and lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Push carts weighing up to 800 pounds and pull pallets up to 2500 pounds.
• Stand and walk extensively.
• Lift and carry items as needed.
