Job summary

Russel Metals in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Material Handler to uphold safety and quality standards in our on-site operations. You will perform daily crane inspections, locate materials, verify orders, and support shipping and receiving.

This role requires adherence to ISO/QMS/EMS procedures, precise documentation, and the ability to work with burners/operators and packing teams. We offer comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health and vision insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience following safety procedures and conducting quality inspections.
• Familiarity with ISO/QMS/EMS standards and documentation.
• Ability to locate and verify material against work orders.
• Willingness to perform varied duties under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily pre-shift crane inspections.
• Locate material as allocated on work order and verify it meets order requirements.
• Load and unloads trucks using overhead crane; perform shipping/receiving inspections.
• Maintain safe housekeeping and proper PPE use.
• Identify problems and initiate solutions within QMS/EMS framework.
• Assist in cleaning, packaging and other duties as directed.
