Wabash is hiring for a Material Handler in Kentucky. The role involves operating or assisting with heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, tractors, hoists, and cranes, plus checking, storing, disbursing or filling orders for parts and materials.

Employee training is provided, and safety is emphasized. Candidates should be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and PIV training, with basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass PIV (power industrial vehicle) training.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve safety, quality, and delivery.
• Maintain and report daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Report defects and needs for repairs.
• Keep lines stocked with the proper materials.
• Perform additional work as assigned by supervisor or coordinator across departments.
• Wear approved PPE (eg, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection).
• Complete duties safely per policies and practices, including personal and coworker safety.
