Job summary

ACCO Brands in Booneville, MS is seeking a forklift operator to move raw materials and finished goods between cells and the warehouse. You will operate forklifts, perform daily maintenance, read shop packs, and support production lines while prioritizing safety and accuracy.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, pass forklift certification, and maintain records via scanner. Overtime may be required and you will contribute to a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and checks of forklift, battery, and other material handling equipment.


• Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.


• Delivers and moves raw material to fabrication and/or production lines as required.


• Return finished product to warehouse.


• Keep track of all daily transactions and submits to management and/or records with scanner.


• Read shop packs and provide to members of fabrication and/or production teams.


• Take a pro-active role in safety, quality, housekeeping, and 5s processes.


• Work overtime as required.


• Maintain satisfactory performance levels.


• Assist in special projects as required.


• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or GED.


• Must be able to read and comprehend simple work instructions.


• Must be able to write and fill out log sheets and other routine paperwork.


• Must be able to perform all physical demands of the position. Primarily sitting, but occasionally may bend, stoop, reach, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs.


• Must be able to obtain certification to operate forklift.


• Experience in reading shop pack sheets preferred.


• Experience in operating narrow isle reach trucks preferred.
