Job summary

Gulf Copper and Manufacturing in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a Warehouse/Materials Handler to support receiving, unloading, and storage of materials per bills of lading. You will help place items for each unit and ensure accurate counts against drawings.

The role requires basic computer skills, forklift/overhead crane experience, and strong teamwork. A High School Diploma or technical cert and 6 months to 1 year of warehousing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical school is a plus.
• 6 months to 1 year warehousing, production, or inventory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine bill of lading to verify project number, unit number, quantities, and part numbers.
• Assist unloading materials from truck or barge and verify bill of lading matches transporter.
• Receive materials based on bill of lading and document quantities and damages.
• Document missing items and report to Materials Manager.
• Place materials for each unit in designated production areas.
• Compare bill of lading materials to drawings parts list with production personnel.
• Operate forklift and overhead cranes per safety guidelines.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
