Position Summary

Our Tube Fitting Division in Eaton, Ohio is looking for a Material Handler in our Plating department to help keep the world moving. You must have good technical knowledge and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Starting at $17/hr. plus $1/hr. shift premium

Job Type

Full-time, 2nd Shift (3 p.m. – 11 p.m.)

Team Member must be able to work scheduled mandatory overtime when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
2. Loads and unloads materials onto or from flatbeds, box truck, trailer trucks, skids, racks, and shelves by hand. Operates crane for bar stock/coils.
3. Transports materials from storage or work sites to designated area utilizing lift truck, crane, push cart, or carrying.
4. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved.
5. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information as required.
6. Stacks materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
7. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area.
8. Makes simple adjustments or repairs to material cutting saws and roll marking equipment.
9. Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
10. Must follow written standard work procedures including all safety and 5S procedures.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of Database software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software, to input all incoming material into inventory.
