Job summary

Traditions PerformanceFirearms is seeking a Material Handler/Receiver to join our team in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. This full-time position involves receiving shipments, verifying accuracy, and ensuring proper storage and order fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include reading production schedules, organizing stock, picking and packing orders, performing cycle counts, and maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Receiving, warehouse experience required.
• Forklift / Reach Truck operation experience required.
• Basic reading and writing (English language) and math ability are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, detail oriented.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team member.
• Ability to adapt and provide fast response to changes.

Responsibilities

• Receives shipments to the warehouse, verify accuracy, and conduct receipt of goods.
• Read production schedules or customer orders to determine items to move, gather, or distribute.
• Sort and place materials on racks, bins, or shelves.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shipping containers.
• Order picking and staging to company standards in a safe manner.
• Establish and maintain efficient order picking practices.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory updates.
• Position reports to Shipping Supervisor.
• Regular attendance and overtime may be required.
