Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Illinois seeks a detail‑oriented production teammate to manage material inventory, assemble boxes for assigned lines, and promptly prepare them for shipment while strictly following safety rules and SOPs.

The role requires maintaining a clean, organized work area, monitoring key production data, assisting maintenance with troubleshooting, and coordinating with the Production Scheduler on resin inventories to ensure accurate records and on‑time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail for monitoring and recording production data.
• Effective communication and teamwork to support staff and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while keeping areas clean.

Responsibilities

• Manage material inventory, ensuring that all supplies are readily available for production processes.
• Responsible for making boxes for assigned lines and preparing them for shipment once they are packed.
• Support team members in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to comply with safety standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality production output.
• manage the resin rail cars and bulk trucks per procedure. Keeps accurate records while working with the Production Scheduler as it relates to managing resin inventories.
• responsible for grinding clear or color scrap/material in the grinding room while keeping the grinding area clean and orderly in a safe manner.
• monitor and document key process parameters of all auxiliary equipment. Reporting any anomalies to maintenance leadership.
• monitor and change all auxiliary equipment filters and filter elements in accordance with schedule, as well as, on an “as needed basis”.
