Job summary

Pretium is seeking a Production Operator in Illinois to manage material inventory, prepare boxes for lines, and support production. You will follow SOPs to ensure high-quality output and keep work areas clean and safe.

You will assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, monitor process parameters, and coordinate with maintenance and the Production Scheduler to manage resin inventories and equipment filters.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude with ability to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines consistently.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately monitor, record, and maintain production data.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to support production staff and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage material inventory, ensuring supplies are available for production processes.
• Responsible for making boxes for assigned lines and preparing them for shipment once packed.
• Support team in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to comply with safety standards.
• Follow SOPs to ensure high-quality production output.
• Manage resin rail cars and bulk trucks per procedure; keep records with Production Scheduler.
• Grinding of scrap materials in the grinding room; keep grinding area safe and orderly.
• Monitor and document key process parameters of all auxiliary equipment; report anomalies.
• Monitor and change auxiliary equipment filters per schedule and as needed.
