Job summary

J&O Plastics, a leading manufacturer of quality injection molding, is seeking a Production Material Handler reporting to the Production Manager to move finished goods from the production floor to the shipping staging area and palletize for transport.

The role requires forklift operation, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, reliable communication with coworkers, and willingness to work overtime as a condition of employment, with cross training across departments.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or factory as a Material Handler.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move finished skids from the Quality Inspection area to the Shipping staging area, then palletize for transport to tractor trailers.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.
• Provide general assistance where needed.
• Overtime is a condition of employment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Production Manager our Material Handlers are responsible for the movement of all components of finished goods from the production floor. Our Production Material Handlers move our raw goods and unfinished product through the production process.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Moving finished skids from the Quality Inspection area to the Shipping staging area. From there the palletized products will be loaded onto tractor trailers.
• Maintain overall general cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.
• Provide general assistance where needed.
• Working overtime when necessary. Overtime is a condition of employment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to multitask.

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Must be reliable and maintain open communication with management to achieve all goals and production requirements.
• Ability to follow standard work regulations and processes.
• Open to cross-training in other functions/departments
• Basic Math Skills

Experience:

• At least 1 year experience in a warehouse or factory setting as a Material Handler.
