Job summary

Plant Power & Control Systems is seeking a Material Handler in Alabaster, AL to support safe and efficient handling, movement, and distribution of materials within our facility. The role ensures production teams have timely materials to meet schedules while maintaining inventory accuracy and following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will have warehouse/manufacturing experience and be proficient in operating material handling equipment, contributing to a clean, organized, and safe work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, parts, and products to designated areas.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Ensure materials are delivered to production lines in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts as needed.
• Organize and maintain storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
• Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and operating equipment.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing shipments for delivery.
• Communicate inventory shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and free from safety hazards.
