Job summary

Sheridan Grand Rapids is hiring a Manufacturing Associate (Material Handler) to help keep our printing operation running smoothly. You’ll load, unload, and organize materials, inspect quality, and assist with setup.

No prior print industry experience is required; we provide training. This is a full-time, first-shift role with benefits after 30 days, overtime opportunities, and a path to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Team-oriented and dependable attitude.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove printed materials from the press and stack on pallets.
• Inspect printed products for quality issues such as smears and folds.
• Load, unload and move materials around the facility.
• Count, label and organize materials for production stages.
• Bundle and prepare products for the next stage of production.
• Use hand trucks or pallet jacks to move materials.
• Assist press crew with job setup, including handling printing plates.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Help with other tasks as needed.
