Job summary

NXTPoint Logistics is seeking a warehouse associate to join on-site at Johnson & Jön Vision Care facilities. The role involves accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing to meet sanitation, safety, and productivity standards.

You will perform pick/pack, light assembly, inventory counting, and use material handling equipment while supporting inventories and ensuring proper stock rotation. This position requires standing, lifting, and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform order picking and packing accurately.
• Ability to perform light assembly and use basic hand tools.
• Experience with inventory counting and cycle counts helpful.

SHIFT OPTIONS

1st Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm

2nd Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm

MAJOR GOAL:

This position is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing of product to meet company standards of sanitation, safety, security and productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), light assembly (assembly of light mechanical or electrical component parts or sub-assemblies that may require the use of hand tools) and record storage.
• Repair and recoup damaged goods as required.
• Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates.
• Report shortages, damages and miss-shipments on appropriate forms.
• Perform unload/load activities for shipments as necessary.
• Efficiently relocate, stack and store merchandise.
• Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked.
• Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Ensure proper stock rotation.

Education & Experience:

High school or G.E.D. degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:

Outdoors and indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation. Exposure to vibration, improperly illuminated or awkward and confining work spaces. Working above ground level where the possibility of falling exists. Frequent lifting and carrying of items. Loud noises typical.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. The employee must be able to carry and climb a ladder. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day) Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
