Job summary

Brevard Achievement Center in Satellite Beach, FL is seeking a Material Handler for a full-time daytime position. You will perform material handling duties at the designated site, transport merchandise using pallet jacks or carts, and assist with inventory and equipment maintenance.

Ideal candidates pass background checks and a pre-employment drug test, and are authorized to work in the U.S. Full benefits are available.

JOB SUMMARY:

Perform assigned Material Handler duties at designated job site in an efficient and effective manner. Reports to the site leadership team.

• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
• Report repair and supply needs in a timely manner.
• Provide assistance for inventory preparation and processing.
• Complete all training requirements as it relates to the position.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• No minimum experience required
• Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior Material Handling experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following; repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving of 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Will involve operating equipment to facilitate lifting/moving a minimum of 40 pounds and a maximum of 150 pounds.
• Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
• Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
• Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
• Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
• Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Availability:

Full Time -Day Shift (hours/days will vary)

Salary:

$17.75 per hour
